New arrivals on the farm

As winter turns to spring the farm comes to life and the first arrivals are already here including the first calf of Swillington’s new herd of British White Cattle; Cleo. She was nearly born on Mother’s day but held on until early the next day. The British Whites are part of our new herd which will graze the neighbouring RSPB nature reserve. They are more suited to the rough grazing on the new land and will help provide a year round supply of beef together with our later calving Angus and Hereford herd. Our lambs are also starting to arrive, they’re later than most so that there’s an ample supply of fresh grass and they can be 100% Grass-fed.Visit the new arrivals at our April Meatup - Sat April 25th @ 11:00 1:30.
