We’re looking for a butchery apprentice

Do you know someone that wants to start a career in butchery and would love the opportunity to learn traditional butchery techniques in a unique on-farm environment?Our butcher is seeking to take on an apprentice who will learn all aspects of the trade and all other duties connected to working in an on-farm butchery.The position will be full-time and based at Swillington, with one day a week spent learning at Leeds City College working towards a Level 2 qualification.The right candidate will have a passion for food, want a career in butchery and be interested in meat and food production. Although they will be based in the butchery unit, they won't be afraid to get their wellies on and help out the rest of the team in other areas of the business if required!With good career prospects, this job role will offer the candidate not just a qualification in butchery, but experience working in a small team traditionally preparing traceable high-quality organic meat for an award-winning and growing business.If you would like to apply, or know someone that would, the application is now on the Leeds City College website.
