Home Grown Hero
There’s a lot to shout about in Leeds when it comes to the great array of top quality food and drink the city has to offer. You could say we’re fast becoming the foodie capital of the North. On the 1st December the city will come together to celebrate all of the above at the first ever Leeds Food & Drink Awards that takes place at Leeds City Museum. It’s even more exciting as our very own Ed Cartwright has been shortlisted for the Food Hero award sponsored by Leeds-List.The voting for the awards are now open and we’d love it if you would take the time to vote for Ed.At Swillington Farm we produce good quality, honest food. Boasting an entirely organic process, we always try to uphold standards of the highest quality and promote food traceability – encouraging consumers to take an interest in where there food comes from. Many of the shortlisted business are strong advocates of this level of traceability which is really great to see. There are also a number of our friends shortlisted for a variety of awards including good friends The Greedy Pig who are up for Best Breakfast, Salvos shortlisted for Best Authentic Cuisine and champions of local produce Dough Bistro – all of whom deserve your vote! These awards are as much about the people as they are about the food, so your vote really matters. The votes are only open until the 28th November, so there’s not an awful lot of time to register your vote. Please take a minute to have your say by clicking this link.
