It might be mid-July and Christmas might be the furthest thing from your mind, but here at Swillington we’re already starting the preparation for your Christmas dinner.Over 200 organic turkey poults arrived on the farm last week having been raised at the organic hatchery for the last 6 weeks. They’re now busy settling into their new home - their own little play area in the barn until they get a little bigger.            Our famous turkeys are a perfect example of our dedication to rearing our animals organically, free range and with the best possible quality of life. These birds, once they’re old enough, will be free to wander, explore and forage in the organic woodland until Christmas.There’s a lot of time and effort that goes into producing something really special for Christmas and that work starts 6 months in advance. Half a year of care and dedication on the farm goes into raising your Christmas dinner.This might mean it costs a little more than going to the supermarket, but you can’t rush perfection and for the most important meal of the year you shouldn’t settle for anything but the best quality.            Ever popular, we’ve already had people asking to order theirs for Christmas, but don’t worry ordering will open in the Autumn so you haven’t missed out just yet!We’ll be sure to keep you up to date with how they’re getting on so you can watch them as they grow and enjoy their new surroundings.
