Swillington’s organic fruit and veg has been shortlisted for a Taste Award!

 This year our organic produce has been shortlisted again at the Taste Awards, hosted by Deliciouslyorkshire and the Yorkshire Post.The Taste Awards are an annual celebration of local Yorkshire produce, with 22 different award categories recognising the very best food and drink from across the county.Having previously won awards in 2013 for Best Meat and Best Fresh Produce, we are delighted that our delicious fruit and veg has been recognised again this year. And we’re hoping for another trophy for the cabinet!Both our Organic Autumn Fruit Selection and our Organic Mixed Salad Leaves have received nominations in the Best Fresh Produce category.But we can’t take all the credit, as our community of Garden Growers help tend to all the lovely crops throughout the year.The beautiful Walled Garden is home to our award-winning community supported agriculture scheme – Swillington Garden Growers – where local subscribers pitch in to benefit from a weekly share of the harvest.Growing our organic fruit and veg is a labour of love shared by the whole community and now that it’s Organic September, there’s never been a better time to get stuck in!After all, there are fewer great pleasures than cooking up a feast from freshly harvested, tasty organic produce.If you’d like to get involved with Garden Growers, or sign up to receive a weekly veg share, then join now or get in touch for more information.
