Christmas

We are now taking orders for Christmas. Our poultry order form is available to download here. Please fill in and return to the shop, or alternatively email us your details and we'll get in touch. We will also have other meat available to order and are working with Ledston Game to provide a wider range of game this year. Fur further details pick up a leaflet and price list from the shop. We will also be placing an order for organic smoked salmon from Inverawe Smokehouse, details and prices will be available shortly.

Turkeys; Due to Jo having a foot operation before Christmas we will not be rearing our own turkeys this year (having a pot on makes getting turkeys out of trees and plucking on one leg difficult!). So this year the farm that usually supplies us with day old turkeys have agreed to rear them. They are the same bronze and blacks, reared on the same feed, killed and dry plucked and and hung for 2 weeks as we do and produced to the same soil association standards meaning they will be just as good as ours! We are also able to offer them at the same price as last year when you place your Christmas order.

Eat the stars!

This Wednesday 7th October the One Show on BBC 1 will have a feature filmed on the farm with comedian Arthur Smith on the origin of words (Off camera our pork pies were enough to make the 'grumpy old man' smile). Watch out for our ducks,geese goats and pigs in the background all co-operated and are anticipating future film roles!

Another Award

We have won the Yorkshire Post taste award Growers category with our organic salad leaves this is our third YP award in three years so hopefully we must be doing something right!

New Products

Kate has added new SUMA lines to our shop stock towards Christmas there will be more please talk to Kate if you want us to stock a particular product.

Game

Most weeks we will have pigeon and rabbit available shot on farm having eaten our organic veg!! We can also order additional game from Ledston Game price list available in the shop.

Salvos event

On the 14,15 and 16th Oct Salvos restaurant in Leeds will be featuring our produce in their restaurant. View the menu here.

Yorkshire Post Taste Awards

For the third year in a row we are again a Yorkshire Taste Awards Finalist.

After previously winning 'Best Yorkshire Meat Producer' this time it is our Organic Salad that has got the judges raving.

Why not pick up a bag of the salad next time you're in the shop and see for yourself how good our freshly picked salad tastes.

New In the Shop

For all our customers who have been asking for our delicious pork pies in the shop lately we're glad to announce they are back in stock.

Freshly prepared each day and made with only our organic pork they are a firm favourite with our shop customers.

If you've not tried one yet we recommend you come into the shop and give them a try before they sell out again!

We will also have ducks for sale again from early october.

GOAT CSA

Swilly Goat CSA will supply unpasteurised milk, available both fresh and frozen, weekly, fortnightly or monthly – whatever suits you! It will be packaged in one-litre plastic bottles, and cost £1.60 per litre. It will be ready for pick-up on the farm, or for collection from farmers’ markets by arrangement. We attend Otley, Knaresborough, Leeds, Headingley, Oakwood and York farmers’ markets. Email Kirstin for more info.
