All our pork comes from our free range and rare breed Saddleback pigs. It is butchered on the farm in our farm butchery by our experienced butcher Ian.

Saddleback pork has distinctive qualities; it is succulent, flavoursome and with crackling to die for. Compared with ultra-lean supermarket pork it offers a much meatier and fuller taste due to the extra fat of the breed. The fat is necessary to baste the meat while it cooks to give flavour and succulence naturally produced pork has also been shown to carry health-benefiting Omega-3 fatty acids.

Although the Saddleback is mostly black that does not mean that you will have black crackling or bacon rind. Like every other pig, the skin on the Saddleback is the same after slaughter and the removal of the bristles. You may find some black stubble where the bristles have not been fully removed but this should be seen as a sign of quality.

Our pork comes well recommended; the sausages have been a finalist in the Best British Sausage Sandwich Awards and the our pork steaks won us the award of Best Meat Producer in the Yorkshire Post Taste Awards.

We produce a range of cuts, as listed below, and if you require anything in particular we can butcher it to your specifications if ordered in advance.

We either tray wrap or vacuum pack our meat to ensure quality and freshness for when it is being transported to the farmers' markets or your home.

We use our free range rare breed pork in our pork pies, which can also be ordered cooked or frozen.

We also sell pork by the full or half free range pig either butchered or whole. For trade enquiries please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Please note as our products don't come off a conveyor belt and are butchered by hand we can't guarantee an exact pack weight so the pack size and price may vary by a few grams/pence from below. If there's an exact or minimum weight you require please make sure to specify when ordering.

Our pork sausages are hand made on the farm using unique recipes and only the finest ingredients. The pork is from our free range pigs and the seasonings are either sourced from the farm or locally. They have proved one of our most popular products and we have a growing range.

All our sausages can be made gluten free, or provided as sausage meat. Please ask when ordering.
