With less than two months until the big day, we’re allowed to start getting excited for Christmas, aren’t we?
Well, preparations are well underway at Swillington and we are now taking orders for our free range, organic Yorkshire turkeys.
Arriving as poults back in June, our turkeys have been left free to forage in organic woodland. Although their outdoor lifestyle means a lot of running around for the team rounding them up at night, it creates an unbeatable flavour.
We rear the Norfolk Black and Bronze heritage breeds for their traditional flavour and we use the traditional method for dry plucking by hand and hanging each bird for three weeks to intensify that flavour.
We’re taking orders now, but be quick, as our turkeys are a sell-out every year. Keep your eyes peeled as our full Christmas catalogue is available from the 1st November.
