After 4 years of delays the government has now confirmed the route of the HS2 railway, unfortunately they are taking forward the same scheme as originally proposed which will have a massive and long lasting impact in Swillington.

The 2200 metre long concrete viaduct spanning from Methley to Swillington at over 60 feet high will be an indelible blot on the landscape of the Aire Valley and destroy natural resources we believe should be conserved for our communities and generations to come.

HS2 Ltd acknowledge that their plans will have a major adverse impact (the highest rating nationally) on our landscape.

Detailed plans and construction are still up to a decade away with more delays likely as the legislation progresses.

We will be continuing to lobby for the best outcome for the farm and we hope HS2 will work with us to ensure this unique environment, our family of independent business and the jobs that depend on them are protected.

We would like to reassure our customers, friends and staff that our we are still here, our businesses continue to grow and thrive despite this threat and will do so for the foreseeable future.

We are committed to enhancing the farm, the environment and the lives of the people involved, by creating, producing and delivering unrivalled food and experiences. We thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
