At Swillington we want you to experience the story behind your food by visiting the farm, seeing the animals and meeting the people that produce your food.
We’re opening up so you can see from field to fork the farming, butchering and growing that takes place at Swillington. Get a behind the scenes view of of our farm, a nose to tail butchery demonstration and even help out in the garden producing delicious healthy, local food.
Meet at the Farm Shop
There is no charge and no need to book. You can come to any or all of the below but please arrive for the start time.
11 am – Shearing Demonstration
12.30 – Butchery demonstration – Simon and Bob our butchers will be giving a nose to tail butchery demonstration – ever wanted to know how your favourite cuts are prepared? Find out here.
1.00 – Kids Club and Walled Garden Volunteers – Suitable for all ages join Jo in the Organic Walled Garden and help with planting, sowing and gardening or even restoring the historic walls.
The butchery and shop is also open as normal:
Friday – 10am – 6pm
Saturday – 9.30am – 3.30pm
